SPC Group Opens Shake Shack ‘Gardens by the Bay’ Store in Singapore
SPC Group announced on August 30 that it has opened the Gardens by the Bay store, the seventh Shake Shack location in Singapore.
Shake Shack Gardens by the Bay store, with 128 seats in a 423-square-meter space, set up shop in front of the Flower Dome within Gardens by the Bay, the largest glass greenhouse as well as one of Singapore’s major attractions.
The store uses a variety of tropical plants to harmonize with the surroundings and adds a bright mood with plant-patterned wall paintings of soph O, a Singaporean artist. In addition, it is decorated with flowers and plants handpicked by the cooperation with the professional gardeners of the Gardens by the Bay, boosting the atmosphere as if the guest were in a botanical garden.
Celebrating the launch of the new store, Singapore’s Shake Shack stores have offered new menus such as Roasted Garlic Mushroom Burger and Crinkle Cut Fries, as well as limited-time ice desserts including Berries by the Bay and Tropic Like It’s Hot (Gardens by the Bay store only). Besides, Gardens by the Bay store will donate some of its sales revenue from Shack Attack to the Singapore Environment Council, a nonprofit working to realize a sustainable future.
An SPC Group official said, “Despite the COVID-19 situation, our stores see their sales rise steadily through deliveries and aggressive marketing efforts, with additional stores opening gradually. We will do our best to expand in Southeast Asia, one of the most important markets for our global business.”
SPC Group, which owns the operating rights of Shake Shack stores in Singapore, has opened seven stores in major commercial districts in the city-state within 2 years after opening the first one in Jewel Changi in April 2019, continuing its success streak after Korea.
