SPC Group held the New Year’s Ceremony for 2021 on January 4, the company announced.

Through his New Year’s speech, Chairman Hur Young-in emphasized the importance of the Group’s future growth by preemptively responding to market changes in the ‘new normal era’, and highlighted ‘highest quality, responsible management, and change and innovation’ as management keywords.

“We must closely examine the entire process up to the delivery of products to the consumers from a quality management perspective, and develop a new level of approach that will achieve the highest quality,” said Chairman Hur. He added, “The new quality control system combines decades of experience and our state-of-the-art technologies so that we can overpower our competitors and their numerous alternative products in the global market.”

To fulfill this goal, Chairman Hur asked all employees to focus on the right ingredients, the starting point for a high-quality product, and pay utmost efforts to every single product and service.

Chairman Hur also urged employees to practice responsible management. “Every one of us must motivate each other to take on new challenges and create an outcome with a sense of responsibility, as well as focus on fostering talents equipped with execution power and expertise,” he said.

Lastly, the chairman emphasized accelerating ‘change and innovation’ to fulfill its grand vision to become the ‘Great Food Company.’ “We must devote all our energy to discovering new growth engines for the future by advancing global business through the application of digital transformation to all business areas. We will combine our domestic business competency and technological power with the business operation capacities abroad.”

Chairman Hur ended his remarks by encouraging all employees to practice sustainable management principles.

The New Year’s ceremony was held as an online event attended by employees at SPC Group offices and those working from home due to Covid-19.
