SPC GFS, a subsidiary of SPC Samilp specializing in food material distribution, announced on the 25th that it had launched ONILJANG, a Business-to-Business (B2B) food material distribution platform.

ONILJANG is a platform that connects local food material distributors and restaurant operators under the concept of “Customized Delivery to Keep Freshness All Day.” Using this platform, food material distributors can save effort in marketing and customer management at the same time as increasing customers. As for the business operators, this shared growth platform helps them conveniently secure fresh food materials with high price competitiveness.

By operating ONILJANG, SPC GFS plans to expand and strengthen the food material business and embark on new market creation. In particular, synergy is expected with the existing businesses based on the company’s food material business expertise, management capacity, and nationwide distribution infrastructure.

Business operators can access ONILJANG services by simply installing the application. The services do not incur any subscription fees or service charges. The key services include “On-time Delivery Service” which allows users to select delivery time three times a day, and small-quantity orders of vegetables and meat, etc., which could only be ordered in bulk online. Delivery is free for purchases of KRW 50,000 and higher. For small-quantity orders, delivery service is provided at the cost of KRW 5,000.

In addition, a variety of marketing activities will be performed, such as advertising and promotional events, on behalf of food material distributors, which are the sellers. ONILJANG will also handle CS operations to receive and answer customer inquiries.

ONILJANG service will be started first in Cheonan and Gumi, and subsequently expanded across the country. To mark the platform launch, a series of relay promotional events will be held for three months including an event to offer free delivery service for purchases below KRW 50,000 or less, a discount coupon giveaway event, an event to offer products at special prices, and a double-discount event.

“While the food materials market is transforming rapidly from offline to the online market, we launched a new platform by combining SPC GFS’s distribution and management capacities with IT,” an SPC GFS official said. “We will lead the market by continuously expanding the serviced areas, and strengthening user benefits and convenience.”
