Paris Baguette Shows Gratitude to War Veterans at 73rd anniversary of Korean War in Busan
Paris Baguette, the bakery franchise run by SPC Group (Chairman Hur Young-in), announced that that it delivered thank-you gifts to around 700 people, including veterans, bereaved families and related officials at the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War in Busan, South Korea.
On June 25, executives and employees of Paris Baguette visited the event held on the first floor of the Busan City Hall’s the auditorium in Yeonje-gu, Busan, to convey their gratitude and comfort to the war veterans, and offered ‘Renowned Premium Castella with Korean Honey’ as a thank-you gift.
This event is the second appreciation event held by SPC to commemorate the month of Patriots and Veterans, following the gratitude event for national war veterans which will be held until the end of June.
Last year, at the request of the Veterans Association of Haeundae-gu, Paris Baguette delivered silky roll cake to Korean War veterans and other officials, forging a new connection with veteran organizations. This year, SPC expanded the event to include Busan as a whole with the intention of paying respect to more Korean War veterans and publicizing their sacrifice and dedication.
Starting with this event, Paris Baguette plans to gradually expand the scope of the event every year to other regions across the country, including Seoul, Gwangju, Daegu, and Daejeon, and settle it as a continuous campaign.
A Paris Baguette official said, “To commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War, we prepared a small gift to express our gratitude to the veterans. Paris Baguette will continue activities to cherish the patriotic spirit of war veterans and express our respect towards them.”
To mark the month of patriots and gratitude, SPC Group is holding a gratitude event named ‘Remember Together Campaign’, which provides up to 20% discount to war veterans at the 6,600 SPC stores nationwide, including Paris Baguette, to express respect and gratitude to the patriotic in June. This campaign will last until the end of June without any restrictions on the purchase amount or number of purchases, and some of the profits earned from the campaign will be donated to support the people of national merit.
