Paris Baguette of SPC Group Ranks 38th Place on 2021 Franchise Times Top 400

 

 

Paris Baguette, a bakery brand of SPC Group, announced on December 22, 2021 that it has ranked No.38 on 2021 Franchise Times Top 400 List.

 

The Franchise Times Top 400 is the annual ranking by systemwide sales and units of the largest 400 U.S.-based franchise brands. Since 1999, the Franchise Times, a U.S.-based leading trade journal in the franchise industry, has been analyzing revenue and other elements of the top franchise companies which are operating business in the United States to assess their ranking

 

Paris Baguette took 38th place in 2021, jumping by 16 steps from 54th place in the previous year, and it became the only brand that joined the top 50 club among non-U.S. brands.

 

“The significant performance of our active investment in global business is recognized in the United States, the home of franchise industry,” said a manager at SPC Group. “We will continue to reinforce our presence in the North American market including the United States and Canada, while accelerating expansion of global business through various ways, such as joint venture and master franchise deals.”

 

Meanwhile, Paris Baguette stands out in the U.S. bakery industry by increasing stores to nearly 100 in the Eastern and Western parts since it entered the market in 2005. The company is competing with leading native brands in major commercial districts, such as Times Square, Midtown, Upper West Side of Manhattan, and Downtown Los Angeles. And its franchise business is recently evaluated to have gotten on track as the ratio of its affiliated stores exceeded 70% by putting focus on the business.

 

In addition, Paris Baguette established a subsidiary in Canada in June 2020, signaling expansion of its presence in North America. Canada is regarded as a crucial region for the global business of Paris Baguette since Quebec and a certain part of the country are affected by French culture while primarily being dominated by the U.S. culture. Building on franchise know-how accumulated in the United States, Paris Baguette intends to develop franchise business in major regions, including Toronto, Vancouver, Quebec and Montreal.
