-Supports 50% of tuition fees for 200 students working at SPC brands each year

-Issued NFT Scholarship Certificate to the 100 recipients in celebration of the tenth anniversary

SPC Group (Chairman: Hur Young-in) announced on the 5th that it has provided SPC Happy Scholarship to 100 college students working part-time at stores of affiliated brands, distributors, and partner companies.

SPC Happy Scholarship is SPC Group’s scholarship program operated since 2012, following the guidance of SPC Group Chairman Hur Young-in to “support young people working at stores to help them raise their dreams.”

SPC Group has been supporting 50% of tuition fees for 200 college students a year (100 students per semester) who are working part-time at stores of affiliated brands, such as Paris Baguette, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin’, and Pascucci, or partner companies, and those who are recommended by external welfare agencies, taking account of their period of continuous service, service behavior, family backgrounds, and academic plans.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, SPC Happy Scholarship has produced a total of 2,028 scholarship students and provided scholarships of KRW 3.62 billion in accumulation. For 100 scholarship students for the second semester, a digital certificate of scholarship in the form of NFT (non-fungible token) was issued instead of a paper certificate, which adds to the significance of the tenth anniversary of the program.

Hyeon-ji Song, a student working part-time at Paris Baguette Jeonju Jungsan-ro Store, said, “I have been experiencing difficulty juggling between work and study. I am happy to be selected as a scholarship grantee because it gives big support for my studies.”

SPC Group selects 10% of the persons for open recruitment from those who worked part-time at the stores of affiliates brands.

Yeon-ji Seo, who is working at Shake Shack Southeast Asian Sales Planning Team after joining SPC Group as one of the fourth scholarship students of the SPC Happy Scholarship, said, “I sincerely congratulate the tenth anniversary of the SPC Happy Scholarship, which gives hope to students who are raising their dreams while working at the stores.” She added, “I realized my dream of joining SPC Group and working in the global stage after being selected as a scholarship student. I hope SPC Happy Scholarship will help more students pursue their dreams for a brighter future.”

“We operate the SPC Happy Scholarship program to cheer for the future of college students working and studying simultaneously,” said an SPC Group official. “We will continue expanding the program to provide greater assistance to young people.”
